Friday Football Thread (Slightly despairing)
Hello what?
Poor old Sheffield United. Well, I still dislike them so balls to them. Dodgy first goal though for Hull.
Right. Now for a little moan. Apologies for being such an old woman. What though is the point now of the UEFA Cup? Managers seems to see it now as a distraction and field 2nd string teams in it. I don't understand it. You've worked your tits off throughout last season to qualify for European Competition and then when the latter stages arrive decide that actually, they can't be arsed with it. Do fans of these clubs see it as a nonsense? A competition they could do without?
Well done to Man City for fielding a strong side and winning, Craig Bellamy continues his excellent start for the club with 2 more goals.
Arsenal Ladies win the League Cup with a 5-0 hammering of Doncaster Belles. <3 Kelly Smith. Good luck in America.
Ebbsfleet United's chairman John Moules has admitted they are struggling to attract the number of 'shareholders' required to break even next season.
Newcastle's chairman Derek Llambias has admitted that the club underestimated the fans' feelings over the departure of Kevin Keegan. He even said in his statement "Kevin is the messiah." Stupid man.
