Monday Football Thread
Well what a busy weekend that was eh?
Bolton somehow beat West Ham 2-1 in a match mostly dominated by the away side. Di Michele needs to be shot for crimes against the art of finishing.
United choke and concede a goal for the first time in over a 1000 minutes of football - Van Der Sar's record remains intact mind. They scrabble back to win 2-1, which, coupled with Liverpool's draw against City yesterday, makes them likely to retain the title this season.
Stoke and Portsmouth draw 2-2 in an encounter which only came to life in the last fifteen minutes. Dodgy penalty and an own goal, quality stuff.
Lee Cattermole puts Digard in hospital and Nolan almost breaks Anichebe's leg in two fiery nil-nil affairs (Boro v Wigan, Newcastle v Everton). Arsenal are also frustrated by a strong rearguard action by Sunderland. Arshavin looked handy though.
Hull take on Spurs tonight in a clash which will probably see Tottenham concede in the 80+ minute.
Everton's game against Stoke has been switched to Sunday after the BNP decided they were going to do a leafletting campaign on the same day in the area. They have since cancelled this.
Any thing else I've missed out? sorry, not too big on the lower leagues or abroad. GO!
