its not what you say, its the way that you say it.
last night 2 of my grilfriends moodiest, most opionated mates came over for dinner and rows. one of the "discussions" was about peoples grammar:
1 "well this guy at work has really bad grammar on the phone and it makes us (the company sells food) look bad. it really annoyes me"
2 "yeah but he's from a hard area - some of these kids are never taught proper grammar. they cant help it. i work (right-on charity for teenage sex) with some of these kids." (she just had to slip it in)
3 "well people should make an effort. i might not have been taught so well but respond the way people talk around me (in the reflexolgists)"
4 "well if some guy came up to me with good grammar, and told me to fuck off, he'd still be a prick. it's not what you say its the way that you say it (works really hard all day and is basically great, guess who?).
so yeah, what you reckon?
also, feel my pain in from last night ^^^ ? there was one point when favourite "quotes" were discussed. Carl Jung and Mahatma Ghandi were bought up by the opinionateds, i plumped for:
- "have a good time, all of the time"
- "whos said that?"
- "viv savage in spinal tap"
oh and heres a hint - dont make jokes about how plastic bags "havent been around for thousands of years so how can we know if they dont decompose" around moody right-on girls. ok? great.
i wish theguywithno... had written this. noone will respond properly.
