The worst TV programme I have ever seen
Was broadcast the Friday that has just passed on ITV at 8pm.
It was a "special" of Tonight (alas no Trevor McDonald), about is TV too rude; i.e some cheap pointscoring against the Beeb on the night of Ross' return.
In lieu of the phone calls to Andrew Sachs from Jonathon Ross and Russell Brand, we ask, is TV getting too rude?
Here we have our first fail. Is TV getting too rude because something bad was broadcast on the radio? I don't know, they don't sound especially interconnected to me.
They then proceeded to show "obscene" clips to a panel of absolute mongs for them to pass their eternal judgement over them.
These ranged from a man in a suit that all war veterans seem to wear, with a red club tie, except he had no medals so he must've been a shit solider, who seemed to find people so much as breathing offensive, some kids who must've been cold hanging out on the corner of their estate, this student with the worst bumfluff beard ever who questioned fake war veterans assertion that everything ever should be banned by spouting a loud of twaddle about "That's like breaking our rights isn't it" to a woman who's voice kept clipping. You know the type, they try to look normal, but you can hear their inner righteous indignation make the odd word going into a higher pitch, as if they're having a mid life voice break.
Their prize outburst was stating to the presenter's question that there are other channels and these things are on after 9 that all programmes ever should be exactly what they want to watch.
I also enjoyed this Scottish bellend stating that Jamie saying "shit" twice should not have been allowed to be broadcast - yet had no problem with a clip of Gordon Ramsey dropping 28 F bombs in a minute and a half, and this 15 year old who said of the Ross/Sachs tape "It's pretty funny innit"
Needless to say I will be delivering a letter of complaint to ITV littered with expletives. I also find it HILARIOUS that have the gall to slag off the license fee when they are trying to push through the CRR which makes it mandatory for people to pay more for advertising on ITV over other channels even though their share of voice has fallen through the floor.
