4.40pm to 4.50pm on Saturday: Probably nowhere better to be in the world than in the Matthew Harding Stand at Stamford Bridge. Here's hoping (well, I'm hoping) it's the lift we need.
Spurs and Porstmouth share the spoils as James has an outstanding match. In all fairness Gomes pulled off a decent save or two but wasn't besiged quite as the Portsmouth keeper was at points. Bent's howler has the fortune of coming in the same weekend as Zaki's. West Ham looked pretty strong even without Bellamy, capitalising on three defensive errors to pull apart Fulham. They'll probably still need to shore up their attack if the Welshman goes though. Great strike from Konchesky too.
Liverpool take on Everton tonight in the first of a all Scouse double header having lost top spot for the first time in a good few months at the weekend.
Leyton Orient part company with manager Martin Ling who was the 5th longest serving manager in English league football until the weekend. Real shame that he leaves the club on the back of some really poor results as he'd been very important in their promotion a few years back and keeping them stable in League One.
Lots more transfer rubbish, with perhaps the most interesting story being that Redknapp and Hughes apparently came to agreement that Spurs would pull out of a move for Bellamy if City withdrew their bid for Wigan's Palacios. Reports are that Bellamy will have his City medical this morning.
