The RNIB changed its name.
I noticed when the Tube announcements changed from "Change here for the Royal National Institute of the Blind" to "of Blind People".
'RNIB’s name has changed to: “Royal National Institute of Blind People” as part of our drive to make RNIB warmer and more friendly. It also reflects the growing role of RNIB members in determining our direction. The abbreviation "RNIB" remains the same.'

Is there anyone who feels this particular change was necessary? I say that because their other point about the old logo of the man with the white cane being a stereotype is fair enough. It's just the name change that leaves me baffled.
(I know, I know: I'm going to have to bump this for the day shift to actually get some decent comments.)
