O2 - massive, massive cunts
I lost the battery in my phone at the weekend. I rang up, the girl told me I was covered, but told me to just tell them I'd lost my phone because they wouldn't send out just a battery
So I ring up, tell them I've lost my phone, and they're like "OK, we'll get your number switched then". But obviously I still have my sim, as it was only the battery I lost. So I lie (as advised by the first girl), and say "I had actually my sim in a different phone at the time, and when I came to use my original phone, I'd just misplaced it". Plausible enough
Now they're telling me my insurance doesn't cover me, as my sim wasn't in my phone at the time of me losing it. I've been with O2 for what, five years? And paid insurance every month during that time for THIS EXACT FUCKING SITUATION. I must pay them £40 a month too, and they look for the most pathetic excuse to not send me a replacement handset
There's way more to this too, such as the appalling customer service I've had over the last few days, the fact they barred my sim despite me telling them not to, as I still had it in a different phone
It's the principle now. I've paid those cunts so much fucking money over the years, and a handset must cost them what, a tenner? And they look for any shitty little loophole to get out of it. I'm not a 'complainer', but I don't think I've ever been so fucked off by the treatment and service I've been given as a customer
Sorry for the rant, but I'm so fucked off. Apparently somebody from the appeals dept is due to call me back in the next couple of hours. I bet they fucking don't
