Flu outbreak worst in 8 years
http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/dec/24/health-flu-outbreak
When I read the headline I thought 'Whatevs, that won't be affecting me or anyone I know (apart from my gran, but she's made of sterner stuff)' but then I read that 22,000 PEOPLE DIED from the flu in 1999/2000, which I don't remember happening at all, and that this year people aged 15 - 44 are being hit harder than the traditional 45-64 year olds. People can really be killed in large numbers by this?
This is just me being a huge hypochondriac, but still...I'm not leaving home til April.
