Dimitar Berbatov looks set to miss out on a return to White Hart Lane at the weekend with an achilles injury ruling him out of Spurs vs Man Utd. In other Spurs related news, rumours are that Redknapp would rather sell Pavlyuchenko, feeling that he doesn't fit in with how he'd like the club to play, but has resigned himself to keeping the striker until at least the summer. Dick Advocaat has also laid into Spurs (and Rangers), claiming that Andrei Arshavin would be making a big mistake if he moved to the club.
One return which will go ahead will be Gianfranco Zola's to Stamford Bridge. The little Italian can expect a warm welcome from the Chelsea faithful, if not West Ham's if rumours of dissent are to be believed.
Rafa Benitez has played down Liverpool's chances of title success this season, saying: "For us to win the league we need Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal to mess up their season. It is very rare that three teams all mess up." Seems somewhat at odds with previous quotes attributed to him, mind. The transfer rumours are pretty much tbe same as they have been for the last 2 or 3 weeks, perhaps the only of real note being Man City's £25m bid for Sevilla's Luis Fabiano and Tony Pulis preparing a £6m swoop for Cardiff winger Joe Ledley.
