Some good action in the League Cup last night, most notably at Old Trafford where Carlos Tevez but 4 past Blackburn in a 5-3 win for Manchester Utd. Scoring three goals at Old Trafford is never something to be sniffed at but Rovers defence was often conspicuous in its absence. Spurs fight back after going a goal down at Vicarage Road, Darren Bent scoring a late winner to secure a 2-1 victory and keep Spurs on target for retaining the trophy.
Manchester City draw 0-0 with PSG, a result which was better for them than it was the visitors, who threw everything they had at Joe Hart in the last 30 minutes but just couldn't break the deadlock. Crewe make their way into the 3rd round of the FA Cup in a 2-0 win over Carlisle, 2 early goals being the difference.
In more gossip related news, Drogba's agent has denied that the Chelsea forward met with any Inter representatives, whilst Chelsea are considering a loan-before-you-buy swoop for CSKA Moscow's Vagner Love. Heskey looks Villa bound and rumours are that West Ham will have to sell big in January despite Zola's claims, with Dean Ashton perhaps being the biggest name to leave Upton Park.
