because while hunting for more clips of Josie Long on youtube I stumbled across this careers advice office bit which is actually quite fun
I think she wrote for it as did Robin Ince. Ince's stuff didn't get into the new serries though he wrote about it on his myspace blog.
'Long has written for the Channel Four teen comedy-drama series Skins. She has also appeared in an online webisode and episodes five and ten of the second series of the show, in which she plays a college careers advisor.'
'2008: Comedy Consultant, Skins (Channel 4)'
and is robin inces comedy really the kid of thing the skins yoof demographic are down with?
which is maybe why he got dropped :(
He writes quite alot in his blogs and they are often very funny.
add him as a friend! My sis even has myspace chats with him sometimes after leaving a reply on his blog heheh
but it's gone now
and whats doubly disappointing is that it was one of the only personalised profiles that wasn't a vision of eye-scorching horror or pink&black mcemo scene attack so not only have i robbed myself of the opportunity of being Robin Inces friend i've deprived myspace of one of it's few aesthetically pleasing moments.
my myspace profile is purple and I havent updated it in so long, it really suxx I hate myspace.
although part of it reminds me of
marcus brigstocke on the now show
Ince is often pictured on Ricky Gervais' blog in stupid clothes hehehe
ince in a police hat...
ince in sexy orange trousers and mustashe...
an ince look-a-like on telly...
ince with a coat hanger round his face and grapes for eyes, with a hoodie up.
because of Josie Long.
I saw her and Robin Ince at End Of The Road deep in conversation with Darren Hayman and, in something of a twist, the singer from Screaming Tea Party.
"fuck your sister tony!"
dont see why it wound people up so
and Skins was actually generally pretty funny
"Oh ha-ha. Look how AWKWARD, yet REALISTIC this situation is.
But its SO funny cos they are ACTUALLY like that.
And Chris is just like, 'OMG YOU WHAT?' and she's just like 'aren't I being DOWN WITH THE KIDS?' and that's funny, because people who think they're down with the kids - generally AREN'T."
That's pretty much the story of Skins, actually.
greatest television moment of this year
i cried a bit
when someone indie is in it?
but also this is funnier than any part of the real show that i ever saw
