It's a companion-piece to Happiness apparently:
And I trust that he'll make it work.
I just don't think she deserves to work with the guy!!
If he was a shop-clerk she wouldnt piss on him etc.
Sure, just to see if she's as waxy and lifeless as she appears on film.
You could, but if things go surprisingly well, you don't get a share of the doll's cash.
I can't wait for this! Solondz is probably my favourite director.
Hilton was on the Paul O'Grady show the other day and came across surprisingly well.
not sure I could sit through that

*Something about not realising she was an actress*
Also, who's Todd Solondz?
they're usually really really dark comedy, like welcome to the doll house was about bullying this girl, and in happiness the main guy is paedophile
It's pretty brief anyway but here's the story (Todd Solondz is awesome for dark comedy):
Paris Hilton, Charlotte Rampling join cast of new Solondz picture

Charlotte Rampling, Allison Janney, Ciaran Hinds and Paris Hilton have joined the cast of Werc Werk Works' upcoming Todd Solondz companion piece to his dark comedy Happiness.
The "part-sequel, par variation" to the 1998 release will also star Shirley Henderson, Renee Taylor, Michael Lerner, Michael Kenneth Williams, Chane't Johnson, Paul Reubens, Eric Wareheim and Chris Marquette.
East Coast-based Werc Werk Works is fully financing and producing the tale of dysfunctional relationships, which is currently underway in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Werc Werk Works co-founder Christine Kunewa Walker is producing with Mike S Ryan and Derrick Tseng while Werc Werks Works co-founder and CEO Elizabeth Redleaf and vice president of production Ken Bailey are executive producers.
Happiness is easily top 5 ever material
I pathetically still haven't seen Palindromes though.
We can have a Solondz weekend some time. These things never actually happen though do they, I should give up.
I'd be up for that. It's hard to find a totally free weekend is all. But I have just ordered Palindromes.
We can do this. Plus now it's getting all cold it'll be great to curl up under the duvet on the couch with DVDs. Hibernation time.
films except for Palindrome's which I thought was awful. I may have to re-watch.
Happiness is such an amazing film. I've never felt the way I have when watching a film before. The scenes between the father and son, particularly the last one, are heartbreaking. Despite it's subject matter it's pretty funny as well.
Pee-Wee Herman is in this new one, him and Paris Hilton will make an interesting pair.
in examining how the effect of using a different looking/age/etc character might change audience perception was really interesting.
Sometimes I think he's making the same points over & over again, but I "enjoy" it every time and his take on middle America is always quite a fascinating study.
But then with the Rosemary's Baby music over the top, creepy. I can dig up an old review somewhere...
"...themes of abortion, paedophilia, underage sex/sexuality, disability, and fundamental Christianity."
Sounds about right. Also apparently he actually wanted to make a sequel to Welcome to the Dollhouse but was thwarted when Heather Matarazzo told him that she would never play the role of Dawn Weiner again, so he did Palindromes as a companion-piece instead.
idk i cant really remember pallindromes real well i ahvent seen it in a while it was pretty good have you seen rachel getting married
Dawn Weiner at the beginning?
but the other 3 are all really good so am looking forward to this.
