I have faint snaps of 1983
which would have been in the summer of 1980.
but I think it was 1981.
When we won the FA Cup. I have "memories" from earlier but i'm not sure if they are actual memories or assumed memories from what parents/granparents said
but I don't start remembering continuously until 1983 I'd say
if that even makes sense
I was beginning to think that I might 'win' this thread.
that is genuine (not through home videos / photos / stories), I was probably about seven or eight? So 1995/1996. Although that seems kind of old, certainly I can't think of anything before then, and I'm sure I would've noticed if I had remembered something from a younger age.
if not all of it
of 10. I can remember a reasonable amount after that though.
I think I just had such an unremarkable life, that nothing was really worth remembering much.
my earliest memory is the Police pulling over my uncle's car (I was in the back seat) when I was 3 or 4.
I can still picture it really clearly - I thought we were all going to get locked up.
All my other early memories are music related
What, the band? Brilliant.
you don't want to drive through that red light
my earliest memory is that of Andoni Zubizarreta hoofing the ball from one end of the pitch to the other during a qualifying match for the world cup.
In a swimming pool in Majorca, minding my own business, when this boy came out of nowhere and started drowning me. I couldn't swim and I feared for my life. I think my brother saw him doing it and decked him though.
But 1989 is the first year I recall having a semi-decent recollection of.
Family holiday, Almeria, Spain, our family hired a yellow Renault 5 and saw the making of Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. We also visited a Western replica saloon bar, where there was pistol shooting, I cried.
When we lived in Hammersmith. I remember walking out of the flat and off down the road, drawing on the walls and getting the mother of all rollickings and interupting a man robbing our flat.
and then it's a gap until probably 1986 where I remember going to playschool, my baby bro and jumping on my Gran's sofa in my vest and pants.
and seeing the Number 1 in the charts was Daydream Believer by the Monkees.
I was always going to be a music anorak, really.
there must be somebody else within ten years of me. Starting to feel a bit like those dodgy old blokes who hang around the school gates ...
I'm feeling like one of those dodgy old blokes who hang around the school gates. There must be somebody else in the same decade, surely ? 8=(
I remember the hillsborough disaster happening
because I remember my parents' old house and they moved from there in early 1978. They could be just memories of memories though; singing along to Rockin All Over The World by Status Quo, trying to build the highest lego tower ever while wrestling was on TV, my mother and grandmother teaching me how to count using a toy clock (I could get up to ten but didn't know what eleven was so I called it 'one one').
Watching the World Cup with my Dad can't remember the game but I remember he rearranged the furniture in the living room which didn't impress my mum!
There might be earlier things as well to do with my Gran but not sure if they are actual memories or just things I've been told.
I was on the beach in Kent. I built a sandcastle, and some nasty Italian man knocked it over.
early nineties probably.
I remember we lived in a really small house till I was 4 or 5. I have vague memories, I really do. Slipping downstairs at 7am in my pyjamas, getting myself a bowl of weetabix, and settling down in front of the black and white telly :)
