I've been asked to join the N.B.F.A.E.M Campaign
(also known as No Boys For An Entire Month Campaign)
actually, I've been told i should, not in an intervention sense, but in a friendly 'sort yourself out love' shove way. Whilst my past share of men/boys could be considered to be quite shit. I think its quite a strict regime, and I wonder if I could make it through in a stoic fashion. Could anyone else?
Here are the rules:
-no shags
-no snogs, kisses or pecks
-no flirts (real life, text, email, phone)
-no dates
-no activities with potential suitors that could be considered a date (such as meeting for a drink)
-No spooning or sharing the same bed that you have heart-fluttered over.
-No dirty dancing or slow dancing.
-No cake making for the male species- only dads. (my friend is a bit of a freak when it comes to cooking)
-no hand holding
-no obvious sex-driven lines of banter
-no discussing the badness of men when in a public place with friends
-No whining about shit exes
-No whining about other smug couples
-replace every yearn for a man or male company with something fun to do with another member in the campaign (i.e cocktail instead of a flirty text, a shit dvd together instead of meeting up with said bloke)
-at least one friend based activity a week.
-at least one thing to make you feel good about yourself a week
-You can still socalise men, but only on a platonic basis, and those you can trust to behave platonically with.
Sounds pretty hard, but at the same time, it shouldn't be. The fact that I've been suggested to join means I must be considered to be a walking fanny. rank.
