any to recommend?
also any books people know of?
Also get War Junkie, and Don McCullin's autobiography.
about James Nachtwey. Can't for the life of me remember the title. There's a huge exhibition/season on about war journalism there right now. Goes on through till november/december
The Capa one is also really good. There's an excellent biography of him called Blood And Champagne which you really should read.
is coming out soon. that's about film making. And war. Kindof.
It's about the Watergate scandal. Come to think of it, where does film making come into it?
and one of those interviews centred around Nixon's foreign policy, which would be about Vietnam.
Tenuous, I know.
the main bulk of it is watergate
i think mums got that on dvd anyway
Maybe Errol Morris. I haven't seen either of these.
best war movie of all time. not really about war photography though, just general war journalism.
that's the film what got me thinking...most of the footage in it is made up from real life action paired with a narrative about a young recruit.
the film is good, but i kept thinking about how it would have been more interesting to hear the story of the people that captured the actual footage during the war....how they did it...how it affected them...etc etc etc...how what they shoot dictates how history see events....
and just wondered if anything has been made like this...im sure there is loads and loads about the topic somewhere.
by Oliver Stone, and Nutty Proffesor 2: The Klumps obviously, but someone already said that.
