Calling all football fans...
If I read one more article on how doomed football is thanks to the influx of money from Abu Dhabi, Russia and wherever else millionaire benefactor no. 453463 is coming from, I'll cry.
Football is alive, well and happily sat waiting for you to turn up. Of course, when people write 'football' though they don't mean the whole game, they mean the Premier League. Nobody can deny that the top tier has given every football fan a few moments of pleasure and writing as a supporter of a Premier League club, I'm more than happy to pay my money and enjoy the 'spectacle'.
But there's so much more to our national game. So much more than you'll ever read about in your daily newspaper, on Football365/BBC Sport (delete as appropriate) or be presented with on Sky Sports News every hour of the day. There's a whole mass of people who are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about it too as well as those who are just gaining an interest in a world outside of £160,000 per week.
I'm looking for those who stick their necks out on a Saturday afternoon or a Wednesday night for a team that many won't have even heard of. Those who are willing to give up a bit of their time to share their passion with others through writing, photography and audio/video podcasts.
Those of you who emailed about technical things, I'll be in touch soon, but if you fit the above description and want to get involved in a really exciting online project that sits somewhere between When Saturday Comes, Wikipedia, Soccer Saturday and Fantasy Football League and have an equal view across every league in the country, please email me. Photographers, writers, producers, people with something to contribute.
