Congratulations to her, as this could hopefully be the final nail in the Republicans' coffin. I bet she's thrilled that her mum's all for overturning Roe vs Wade... Also, kudos to Obama for not using this pregnancy to his advantage.
It seems ludicrous how naive the Republicans seem, nominating a woman for VP in an attempt to win over all of Hillary's supporters...did it not occur to them that not everyone that voted for Hillary was a woman?! And that the women who did support Hillary probably cared at least a little for women's rights, unlike the practically chauvinistic (and creationist) Mrs Palin... I also like the way that their campaign managers seem to be substituting her son's imminent deployment to Iraq for any genuine foreign policy experience.
So do you think that the Democrats stand a realistic chance? I'd really like to think so, but sadly can't see it happening. If McCain gets in, and they achieve overturning Roe vs Wade, do they not realise the scale of the mutiny/migration they could have on their hands?!
