question for girls (girl health centric)
hi, so, i just got back from edinburgh, and my flatmates are away for a couple of days and will be back from their holiday abroad on wednesday.
on the coffee table are a few leaflets that got me a bit worried - one is just an info thing about pap smears, one is a guide to checking your breasts for irregularities, both of which i assume are the kind of things you get when you go for a check-up.
there's a third one though, which i'm not sure how related to the other two it might be. it's a yellow piece of card and it says this:
"Why you must call the clinical assessment service: Your GP has decided that you need to see another health professional and they should give you this yellow card with details of the service..." then goes on to give contact numbers. they're all very vague, none of them mention anything specific.
is this worrying? i know nothing about these kinds of tests or whether the two sets of leaflets are even connected, and obviously don't want to bother my flatmates while they're on holiday, so will wait til wednesday and see if there's anything to be told, but has anyone ever been for such a check-up and been given one of these yellow cards? do you know if it's possible it could mean something bad?
no crap joke replies pls.
