So, my girlfriend's best friend told her he is in love with her
Two weeks ago, the best friend of the girl I'm seeing sat her down and told her he was 'completely' in love with her. This isn't really the problem - I like the guy, he's genuine and friendly, and she told him she wasn't interested anyway because she only saw him as a friend.
HOWEVER what is annoying is that since then I've been under strict instructions not to do anything even vaguely affectionate when he's around which is pretty much always, given he's her best friend and lives down the road.
At first I went along with it - I've been in situations where someone I've liked has been seeing someone else, and it's not the best feeling, and as I said, I do like the guy - but it's only been two weeks and already I'm starting to feel a little aggrieved that it's me that has to suck this up rather than him...he'll have to deal with it sooner or later surely?
Anyway, at the weekend she had a house party and he happened to walk past just as I gave her a quick kiss ON THE CHEEK. Apparently, he immediately pulled her outside and told her 'don't kiss him'. I'm not entirely sure he has the right to say that, but still....
I'm in the right here, right? I realize it's *possible* I'm being an insensitive bastard, but it certainly feels like he's been in the wrong, repeatedly, and I can't even say anything bad about him to her because he's her best friend. Talk about irritating...
