beans of all varieties
and then just not eat them? You're pretty selfish, if you don't mind me saying.
only = protein when you combine them with starchy foods like rice, bread, or potatoes. The starch makes up some of the 7 amino acids you need to make a secondary protein source. (mad vegan skillz)
especially dried ones. you can get a massive bag of them for not much money and they've got lots of proteins in them.
nuts and more nuts
usually to be served as part of a dish (rather than as a condiment). Tomato sauces are common for meat and vegetables, but they are perhaps best known as sauces for pasta dishes.
Tomatoes have a rich flavor, low liquid content, very soft flesh which breaks down easily, and the right composition to thicken up into a sauce when they are cooked (without the need of thickeners like roux). All of these qualities make them ideal for simple and appealing sauces.
The simplest tomato sauces consist just of chopped tomato flesh (with the skins and seeds optionally removed), cooked in a little olive oil and simmered until it loses its raw flavour, and seasoned with salt.
Water (or another, more flavorful liquid such as stock or wine) is often added to keep it from drying out too much. Onion and garlic are almost always sweated or sauteed at the beginning before the tomato is added. Other seasonings typically include basil, oregano, parsley, and possibly some spicy red pepper or black pepper. Ground or chopped meat is also common.
What other use is there for them? If you can live with the knowledge that you've disappointed them, fine. But I doubt you'd go into an Asian woman's house and not eat her curry if she offered. That's why vegans are all hypocrites.
They sacrifice their lives for me, and then I laugh in their dead faces.
That does sound good actually..
At least they don't have to live with the shame.
The former isn't ideal as you wanted non-animal stuff. Wheatgerm: you get it from health food shops, and sprinkle it on cereals, put it in smoothies, etc. It's quite nice after a bit.
Mehodor has said protein powders; these are brilliant. Like eating 5 egg yolks at a time.
i strongly recommend it
Well, meatloaf, eh? But meatloaf's ridiculous.
Aren't we crazy?
Because I don't want to look silly.
they'd only pump them out when they were fertilised, you twatbatch.
actualy grub is more efficent, ie small sectioned off squat like worm creatures,. and they dont taste bad.
yes i have. before ya asks.
You vegetarian or summink?
women still have periods when they're not fertilized. it's not entirely different. Anyway there's a difference between eating the occasional, natrually produced egg, and pumping a chicken so full of hormones and keeping it in a cage in which it can barely turn around.
i just like vegetarian food too. i'll go dig the recipe out!
but then I never said anything about that.
My opinion is chickens choose when they lay eggs and they do it as a reward for humans. So for example, if a chicken stops laying eggs, it's because it hates people and doesn't want to provide them with the gift of eggs. If it lays lots of eggs, it wants people to eat them. And that being the case, I happen to think it's pretty selfish to just ignore the bird's gift and carry on without eating the egg. If you disagree, fine. But it's pretty clear-cut to me.
also your dad likes philip k dick?!!
when cats bring in dead birds as gifts for their owners...we should eat them too?
and cats don't create them. They just catch them. Different thing entirely.
being vegan is totally selfish! It is in no way beneficial to the enviroment, the world hunger crisis, animals, the food cost problem, and pollution!! You've totally converted me now get me a great big steak with some meat sauce.
you're all going to look so stupid.
I have images of you with blood dripping down your chin. DiSturbing.
