    • I'm struggling to think of a better way to explain it really.

Anything that involves reading drawings and understanding them. Visualising something in 3d as opposed to the 2d format you are looking at.

Problem solving, figuring out better ways to achieve the same results.

Having a job that requires design input.

      • Umm, there's not a huge amount

of really technical stuff, though there is a lot of specialist knowledge in things like the Civil Contingencies Act.
Also stuff like how to put together an Emergency Plan, formats.
Nothing techy on the IT/design side of things really though.

        • A lot of archiving knowledge then, and knowledge of procedures.

the company's policy and procedure and how the system works, but that's something most people could pick up easily.

              • Sorry,

I'm just not very comfortable with signing on the dole at the moment.

I actually feel like the biggest heap of shit known to mankind.

I was on a training course for two weeks and I missed one day as I was really ill, and they wouldn't let me back on the course.

So I had to sign on whilst looknig for work.

And it is so depressing and I really hate everything at the moment.

I have the internet because it's included in my rent.

I'm paying my rent with my credit card as I haven't applied for housing benefit.

That is my life right now
                thanks

I went to japan last year and thought about going there to teach english for a bit... san francisco as a place to live is also appealing...but so is just buying a ticket anywhere and see where i end up.

i dunno, would u carry my bags if i got tired? ;P

It requires a sound knowledge of Office applications including Excel pivot tables and charting techniques, coupled with the ability to analyse large amounts of information, identify patterns and trends and predict future outcomes.

So far no-one's found out that I don't have this knowledge.

  • Pretty technical, 95%, maybe more

Lots of programming, geeky stuff, problem solving, visualising data, thinking in the way that browsers render, markup semantics, proper visual and interaction design. all on a scale involving quite a lot of people/users.

Not blowing my own trumpet, but yeah.
