Curry house kitchen staff etc
apparently it's getting harder and harder to find curry makerers, because of limits on immigration and increased EU numbers making it harder for Bangladeshi curriers to come here to cook us din dins. Also having tried to make up numbers with Eastern European chefs, there have been culture clashes, and things haven’t been able to run as smoothly.
Also on the topic of culture but more about higher culture, experts are suggesting that kids should have 5 hours a week spent on learning cultural activities such as operas, instrument playing, creative writing, etc. obviously these things are covered in educational terms by Music and English lessons etc, but I think they want to get more leaning about how they fit into the height of culture
My question is therefore is today with learning cultures, whether it be our own or other peoples. Do you feel you know enough about those around you or vice versa? Do you think it is important to integrate with people from around the world, and bring elements of their lives into our lives? Or should we stand up for maintaining our own identity? Do you think with increased immigration, we are losing the Britishness of Britain?
