frozen foods versus proper cooking
so. usually i cook all my meals from proper ingredients. and i think it's better for me. my somewhat limited cooking repetoire, and the fact that i only cook for myself means that i am often restricted to mashed potato, carbonara, spag bol, curry, or risotto. and usually to same one of these options for several days in a row.
today, i was off work, went shopping, had some beers, and bought, from iceland (the frozen foods shop with durable carrier bags):
"4 pints of milk, 12 hula hoops multi-pack, findus spaghetti bolognese, and findus crispy pancakes"
now this will keep me going all weekend, and is much cheaper than my usual food purchases. only £4.25.
does anyone live on such crap? and is it actually any worse for me? surely frozen meals cant be much worse than actual cooking?
i reckon i could half my food expenses by living like this. advice anyone?
