The best film of the year
is The Darjeeling Limited. Ha, just kidding.
No, in my opinion it's The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford.
Went to see this on Thursday night. It's two hours and forty minutes long but I was gripped throughout. The cinematography is stunning. The opening montage of landscape shots is more beautiful than any images I've seen this year. Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck turn in the best performances of their careers, and the betrayal scene was heartstopping, my mouth just dropped open.
Brilliant.
