Those movies about Lennon's killer
So there's two of them, one advertised on tube stations now and another one with Jared Leto coming soon. Why and who would want to see them?
If you're a casual passer-by who wants to know what happened, spend 10 minutes on wikipedia, if you really want to know what happened, read a book about it. Why would you devote an evening to watching a speculative, possibly inaccurate reconstruction?
Why would you give the killer any publicity? Am I right that the reason, at least one, of why we don't see Anthony Hopkins as Shipman or David Schwimmer as the Yorkshire Ripper is that the filmmakers can't get those biopics off the ground, or nobody wants to make them for the next several decades at least, is due to risk being "insensitive to families of victims"? Why is it ok if the victim is famous, or if the family is headed by someone as weird as Yoko Ono?
rant over. roger and over.
