Half Nelson/its soundtrack/feeling gutted
i watched this film yesterday. its pretty good and i recommend it. i like how it presents him as both a victim of drug addiction whilst shows the hypocracy of him buying drugs and keeping the drugs trade running.
feel free to share opinions on the film. but that isnt what this thread is about really. well it sort of is. but:
i was watching it and loving the soundtrack. the canadian sounding slightly cosmic indie rock was actually convincing me that such things were actually really good, and the hip hop stuff was nicely soulful, in a way that surprisingly appealed to me.
so i waited til the end.
most of the music was by broken social scene :(
and the hip hop stuff was mark ronson.
i want to die.
also: the pilot of the film included on the dvd is hilariously bad
