True political debate and bullshit debate designed to distract people from real issues
Examples of true political debate:
The decline of the National Health Service, including access to treatment, operations, dentistry; the rise of private treatment.
The cost of post-18 education, coupled with a decline in standards and the current promotion of a mediocre average as the attainment for all.
Decline of Trade's union power and the increasing ease with which employers can sack people, pay them less, lengthen their hours without any restriction.
The lack of affordable housing coupled with the lack of council housing - the only benficiaries being private landlords and housing associations.
Institionalised racism: The "right" of the police to question people and search them based on their race (currently Muslims); attacks on race and religion in schools, universities and workplaces.
The shocking state of public transport and utilities. All owned by crooks who, with government assistance, fleece the public whilst providng a crap service.
Example of utterly bullshit political debate:
The EU. Endless discussions about the minutiae of what is the best way to maintain the status quo. The differences of opinion are so small that they can only be viewed with a microscope. Such "debate" fills the media and government statements, distracting the public from the real issues. Debate about the flaccid European constitution is on a par with deciding which Big Brother contestant to evict. Only dishonest wankers, who wish to occupy people's time and keep them from talking about real issues, will bang on about this pointless constitution.
