As someone who lives in a town where 'tensions are high' (which basically means white people and Asian people don't communicate, apart from to abuse eachother), I'd say the biggest cause of racism was bad integration. The fact people are constantly being shoved together and being told to get along.
I've always found that people from areas with little to no ethnic populations are the ones with the most anti-racist attitudes.
Wouldn't you agree?
