Are we 'due' a 'classic' sitcom?
Obviously know one will know its 'classic' until about 3 years later, but you know what you mean. I also guess its safe to say that at the time of writing, most comedies shown on BBC3 won't fit that mould, will they? I mean 'Grown ups' and 'The Visit' etc. Also why are they always set in Manchester -are they written by Guigsy and Bonehead or something?
Anyway - a classic sitcom needs two wonderful writers, two fantastic actors or one superb monologue genius, not comedians) and two levels - absurdity and pathos. what do you think?
