I think I have hypertension
Or something.
When I registered at the local doctor's the nurse took my blood pressure twice, saying it seemed a bit high the first time and then didn't mention it again.
She then proceeded to tell me I was 5kg under my ideal weight but that this was fine...and then proceeded to tell me to lay off the cheese and get all my protein from cottage cheese which has no fat or something.
Then gave me a list from the British Hypertension Society that basically says: Don't eat ANYTHING that tastes nice, don't have white bread more than two or three times a week, same withe avocadoes, olives and other stuff.
Seriously this tells me to avoid eating: Crisps, biscuits, any form of whole milk, cream, more than 4 eggs in a week, coconuts, cashews, baked potatoes, cheddar cheese, all margarines, oils, pastries, chocolates, tobasco, soy sauce, etc.
Apparently alcohol is fine 2-3 times a week but only 3-4 units a day...
At no point did she say: get some exercise. At no point.
Is it just me or does that seem faintly ludicrous?
Anyway, I think I'll stay unhealthy and die from heart disease at 50, thanks.
