Berbatov to United: Officially (footballcentric)
I have it on high authority that Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, has accepted a £30 million offer from Man United for Dimitar Berbatov (a dad of a friend is a chief scout at Spurs). The news of this caused their shares to drop 4p yesterday.
I know it sounds like good money, but Spurs aren't in a position where they need to sell, and by selling their best player are only taking a step backwards, as well as being labelled with a selling club stigma.
I shouldn't really care, but it makes for an interesting discussion.
