i wrote a poem about batman
Walking down the crowded street, there is no crime,
A by-passer proclaims, “Batman, you’re past your time.”
Ten years later, wearing the same suit,
It fits like a foot into a glove, a toe sticking out of a boot.
I used to fight the villainous henchmen without defeat,
All while the Bat Mobile defied the kinetic theory of heat.
Those were the good days, POW! BANG! on TV,
Still, with enough time to sit down and have a cup of tea.
Now the glory years are gone and done,
I desperately miss my time in the sun.
Today, I head out side the city to reclaim what’s mine,
Hoping to get a piece of the action, to defeat that evil swine.
I go down the Bat Pole, emerge into the Bat Cave,
About to do the thing I most crave.
Coming to the destination, my welcome is hearty,
Today, I’m the entertainment for Johnny’s seventh birthday party.
