Some notes on JD Sports and trainers shopping
Now of course I got some Converse Allstars what with being over 30 and a bit upset round the edges but it was interesting as ever to observe the proles choosing the kind of footwear that is at least 3 times more expensive that my 'allstars' yet being purchased by people with a lard complexion and water on the ankles, and that was the 'lookers'.
One man bought a pair of trainers that looked for all the world like a landing platform from Thunderbirds and his fat swollen feet were treading all over the back of them and as he eventually got them off he said to the attendent - "they fit perfectly I'll take them" - clearly using them to run in them then - assuming he left the shop without having a stroke.
why is it that the poorer in health and pocket that you are, the more 'snazzy' your footwear seems to be?
