Guitar action heeeeeelp
I have an acoustic guitar, but I know nothing about guitars. When I got it, I had it set up and the action was nice and low. However, when I came to changing the strings for the first time, I forgot this and bought a heavier gauge, making the action rubbish. I've just changed the strings for the first time in about a year, back to the original gauge, but the action is still way higher than it was. This makes me sad. Should I lower the action again or will the strings eventually settle to be closer to the fretboard? Or maybe I could take all the strings off (they're lights), leave the guitar stringless for a few days and then put them back on? Would that help?
