City Of God
One of the best films I've seen for quite a while. In fact, like a breath of fresh air after all the over-stylised, content-free Hollywood gumph I've sat in front of in the last week. I remember why I got so obsessed with good films lately, by being exposed to bad ones. For every awful, tawdry piece of thoroughly meaningless turd (I'm looking at you, Pirates of the Carribbean 2) there's a Paris, Texas or a Wings of Desire or a City of God waiting to be watched.
