who likes 'em then?
i heard them seven years ago on the breezeblock, probably played alongside the likes of sonic subjunkie... liked them and forgot about them. yesterday i snuck out during DiS RoTa for a spot of record shopping, and found 'the italian flag' for £2. and it's incredible, perfect and vicious. it's shoegazey and sonic youthy and pretty and twisted. it has Teeth. and a review i've just found on stylus makes the nice point that nick derrick's vocals make "aidan moffatt sound like stephen fry". it's basically a tremendous record.
and this is a funny and enjoyable review of it:
