Halftime at Superbowl LXX
I'm a little tired of hearing how old the Stones are. Fact is, at 62, Mick is kicking out the jams better than most a third his age. I understand their new album ain't half bad to boot. I gotta hand it to them, their performance at Sunday's Superbowl XL was a big overblown rock 'n roll extravaganza - as it should be.
I figure Bono and buddies will take care of halftime for Superbowl LV, fifteen years hence, but what band today will have the sort of success and longevity as the Stones or U2? Pretty sure it isn't gonna be the Libertines.
Contemporary band who'll defeat the odds... and play the halftime show for the 2036 Superbowl!
Me own wild guess:
The Strokes
