is number one enemy by daisy dares you ft. chipmunk
back to back with call be maybe and it won by 50 points
And I will never be persuaded otherwise.
about this little known classic
16 years old
but, if we're being frank and honest, it's crazy in love
Reissued in 2001, first release 1997.
if that counts
but someone said bad romance and i was like, yeah it's bad romance
no it doesn't count
Kendrick - Swimming Pools
Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry
Glorious by Andreas Johnson
Pure Shores by All Saints, which has already been mentioned a few times.
Heartbeat by Annie
One Thing by Amerie
Or ignition remix
why 'One Thing' by Amerie seems to be the stock indie bellwhiff answer to this question? Was it produced by someone credible?
I can understand people saying 'Cry Me A River' or 'Ignition Remix' or 'Hey Ya' by OutKast (which has yet to be mentioned), but 'One Thing' barely holds a candle to any of those tunes.
Whoever mentioned 'You Get What You Give' - good shout.
Doesn't know what they're missing.
The Edge of Glory, Teenage Dream, Groovejet and Crazy in Love are arguing at the door, but not quite getting in.
But then I again, I think I might *just* prefer Can't Speak French.
And Untouchable is their best song, but I can't listen to the butchered single edit, so that doesn't count.
Fucking hell, can we close this thread now guys.
If this is true, it is surely a teaser for a Christmas parlour game this year.
But I can't find any evidence here:
all apart from the really cheesy final "abooout you noooo-ooooww" right at the end.
Surely one of their worst singles. But Biology and Untouchable would both be worthy winners.
Cry Me A River would be right up there... Sugababes' 'Freak Like Me'? (Or 'Overload')
Got to be up there
*kick ramps up*
*high synth arpeggio comes in*
*refrain returns with extra heartbreak*
*strings well up*
*beat drops out*
*high arp twinkles*
*titular vocal refrain*
*kick and bass synth drop*
GANGNAM STYLE :p
or Who Says by Selena Gomez
Hey Ya by Outkast and I claim my £5.
I think it is, anyway. I don't watch it.
Though he sings like he's pitching a loaf
Razorlight - Pop Song 2006?
Mini Viva - Left My Heart In Tokyo
and the Veronicas - Untouched
Unfortunately I'll always remember it as the record playing in the radio when my sister got stung by a stingray in Florida. (It was 1999, she is okay now, you know.)
I really like this approach to songwriting:
has to be in with a shout?
you lot are shite at pop music
daisy dares you 4 lyfe
Alizee - Moi Lolita (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nnnxZCMAC4).
Garbage - Only Happy When It Rains (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esEdC0c3YI4). I call it 'a pop song dressed in grunge guitars'.
Its gotta be Rhianna - Umbrella surely
But... La Roux - In For the Kill (original version)
better than i remembered tbh
Madonna - "Holywood" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQQKTkQxKnU)
Makes sense now. I do like Garbage, they were one of my favourite bands as a teenager. But I'm not deep-blue :-P
