Bands that remind you why Rock & Roll is a life-affirming force
You know, sometimes you get a little lost in rhythms and digital landscapes or epic post-rock, and you forget about that primal punch that comes from a punk-rock. Or how great it is to hear a riff that sounds like it's tearing the inside of your speaker.
For me, it's usually the opening bassline to Doolittle. It always happens when I hear Pretty Girls Make Graves, Blood Red Shoes or The Icarus Line. What has done it to you over the years or more recently?

i like that new Swearin' album. all the Crutchfield twins bands are good at doing 90s style rock and or roll in a fresh fun new way.

where are they playing?
You can afford it - go
I have a bit of a thing for the intro to Industrial Estate by The Fall.
And I'm fully seconding Japandroids (Wet Hair) and The Stooges (1970) as they were my other joint-first-choices.
1.2.3.4.
Doesn't matter who says it, or what song is coming. It just works.

Big arena tour. But they are such a force of nature live. Heard they've been playing Mexicola and The Bronze live as well.
Ok this setlist may have just edged it
In The Fade, Long Slow Goodbye and Better Living Through Chemistry!!!!!... Fffffffffffffff
IF they cut the Era Vulgaris tracks for Autopilot and You Can't Quit Me Baby and brought Lanegan out
I'd sell my kidney for that.
