Courtney Dandy Warhol's One Model Nation, that graphic novel came with its own soundtrack cd. Both for the price of one.

Oddly, comics for me require a trip to a shop to peruse what's there (Time rek in Bromley is awesome), so it's totally different to today's way of shopping for music (read about band, watch youtube clip, buy bandcamp/emusic offering). So the former has continued to be be preferred in it's tangible format whereas I'm not too worried about the physical cd anymore (aside from the elite group of favourites like Trail of Dead who still put effort into it).

unless there's literally no alternative; ie what I'm after is out of print and there's no chance of me getting hold of a CD without forking out silly money. Likewise, I find reading anything more than a webcomic pretty hard on the eyes when it comes to sequential stuff so I've somewhat slept through the new digital dawn of comics... and really, with the demise of the independant record shop, the comicbook shop is one of the few places left on the highstreet where you can have a decent relationship with the shopkeeper. I suppose I'm still a dinosaur in regard to both parts of the question: I'd prefer to have the physical copy of either.

i normally buy the CD and rip the songs off that to my ipod, if it's just the odd track by a band/ artist then i'm not averse to scouring the internet / soulseek to illegally download it. As for comic books never got into them cartoons and books are so much better.

then I realised I'd never actually listened to my CDs natively since all my music at home was played off the laptop/PC. Now I only buy CDs if they are dirt cheap second hand/the album is hard to pirate/too expensive on MP3 or I'm feeling it in a record shop.

Alcopop Records often do stuff like this. Johnny Foreigenr have done a Frisbee ep, and ones with posters or photos etc and gunning for tamar did a casio watch ep. It's a fun and different way of selling stuff if no one bothers wih cds any more.
