James Dean Bradfield was apparently quite handy back in the day

I imagine hanging around Richey & Nicky in their 'wearing their aunties blouse' days could get quite interesting at times, there are a few stories around of people starting on one or the other and not realising that they had 5'5" of Welsh valleys nutter backing them up, Simon Price's book about the Manics mentions him once headbutting a guy clean off the stage who had made a beeline for Richey too.

There was a thread on here following a TODD gig at the Lexington that I went to,

Where a guy in the crowd was picked on at random and had his collarbone broken. It went beyond 'punk' into nasty.

    on this, just because I asked them about it and they set me straight, they were genuinely mortified about the incident and had apologised profusely, they were/are very decent people. And, as the thread says, the long knife Craig used to brandish was indeed plastic.
    Given I watched Craig Clause's other bank (Shit and Shine) be relentlessly torn into and interrupted by some little shit of a heckler one time, I think everyone at that show felt that would have been an acceptable time to smash that guy's face in, but Craig was amazingly restrained.
