Bob Mould
He's a bit good isn't he? I don't know why, but for some reason I've only just discovered the joys of his solo work and Sugar. What a massive idiot I am. Does anybody have any recommendations as to what I should listen to next when it comes to this sort of joyously uplifting power pop type stuff? Cheers.

As in what other bands should you listen to, or what other Bob Mould?
Other bands should include Buffalo Tom, The Posies, Velvet Crush and blatantly Teenage Fanclub, but you might know them already.
Big Star
Obviously.
and Cheap Trick
Same here, I bought Copper Blue from a boot sale a few years ago
I've only really been listening to it very recently, it's amazing!
He invented grunge y'know.
hats off for suggesting velvet crush
Was always more of a Grant Hart man myself
although what I've heard of his solo stuff its fucking dire.
no
I've not heard the album he recently did with the Godspeed guys, but Hart's solo stuff is outstanding. He's more of a mercurial talent (read: fuck-up) than Bob Mould and doesn't get much done, but track down Intolerance and Good News for Modern Man.
Copper Blue and Beaster are two of my favourite albums ever recorded. Never bettered sadly, but the new album certainly has some signs of a return to form.
Prob with Bob
is that his material is really patchy. As much as I love Husker Du, they were prolific and there was much filler across the catalogue, a lot of which was written by Bob.
His solo albums each have a couple of gems each but again, a load of padding too.
Copper Blue and Beaster really were his purple patch of songwriting and some of the finest 90s rock committed to record.
<3
ive heard his winkie
is proper big
He totally...
...cruised my friend at ATP. And we still can't work out whether he's top or bottom.
Musically: Husker Du's Zen Arcade/Candy Apple Grey, Copper Blue, Beaster and his last solo effort demand attention.
Leatherface, Hot Water Music
