Be Prepared present Memory Drawings (ex-Hood, Lanterns On The Late etc) + Chris Tenz + Guest @ Cafe Oto, Fri 8th Feb 2013
Ahead of our Loscil, Pye Corner Audio and Talvihorros gig in March, we've added another show at Cafe Oto for February:
Blurb:
Be Prepared for...
Memory Drawings - Richard Adams (Hood, The Declining Winter) has brought together a variety of seasoned musicians from the UK's various DIY scenes (and Joel Handon, who lives in Moroco) to make beautiful acoustic instrumentals, with violins and hammered dulcimer often taking the lead. Their sold out debut album, Music For Another Loss, puts us in mind of Richard Skelton's pastoral works, or Rachel's if they'd been raised in the north of England.

Chris Tenz - the Canadian's finger picked guitar, sparse synth and field recordings underpin sad songs told in a hushed, sometimes whispered, voice.

Dayshift bump!
Did a show for them in Manchester...
...in September, and they were fantastic. Simple and sparse, but elegant. I sound like a furniture salesman. But London people into those reference points you mention should definitely make a date.
Second support act added:
Grapefruits - Improvised sonic debris from Max Bondi (Tartaruga Records) and Oliver Barrett (Petrels) making use of cello, piano, tape loops and electronics.
Yeah!
This is less than two weeks away!
LAKE (bump)
oh balls
Friday!
Last bump (promise).
Tonight!
Is it doors at 8?
