I gotsta get some teeth like Dusty Hill.
Cheers.
A headline at Live at the Marquee in Cork. I'm 30 'years waiting to catch them live. The early stuff was excellent right enough.
But I'm more than a tad partial to a bit of Afterburner and Eliminator too.
I'd consider anything following Afterburner as 'recent'. No?
They've released an album in 2012 while Eliminator was released in 1983 - with 5 or 6 albums since, good early-mid yeah?
anyone got the new one? Might see if it's on deezer now...
I like it and def think its worth checking out. Fits real nice into their discography.
Rick Rubin things always sound a bit flat but the guitar does sound ace. I say Rick Rubin things, he doesn't really do any engineering or owt anymore. Just sits and strokes his beard. But you know.
Tres Hombres & Deguello still me favs.
It needs a bit more oomph, for sure. Very trebly. Gotsta Get Paid might be the best track I've heard all year on reflection.
I think maybe we were spoiled with the production of tres hombres, that thing still sounds amazing
Not many, I'd wager. This is quality: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/nov/08/zz-top-dalis-of-delta?fb=native&CMP=FBCNETTXT9038

Agreed on the earliest stuff being the best
But I'm more than a tad partial to a bit of Afterburner and Eliminator too.
Isn't that included in the early stuff?
I'd consider anything following Afterburner as 'recent'. No?
Well they released seven albums before those two, so I wouldn't call them particularly early myself.
Late Jurassic period....

How many bands into the 5th decade of their career could carry off a cover of a crack-rap anthem?
