Perfect. Any other examples ? Post them here.
This is something of a JAG, and we have a thread on this topic pretty periodically, but over at muso's guide we're looking for contributors, particularly for people who love film, music, and film music.
send us an email at mail.musosguide.com if you wanna get involved.

Also Baraka - pretty much the whole film
god, i love stalker
tarkovsky films always have an incredible atmosphere. have you ever read roadside picnic? As usual, Andrei's adaptation isn't particularly faithful but he still does a fantastic job
there's also something very hypnotic
about hearing russian men debate for three hours. I could listen all day.
No, I will look out for that
Cheers
Can't find it on youtube, but
That bit in Donnie Darko with Killing Moon in it.
huge fan of the bit where they arrive at school
to Head Over Heels
Came here to post that
I love that scene so much.
Man that scene is so good
I remember thinking, I've arrived nothing can top this!
Or the party
with Under The Milky Way by The Church. The soundtrack is generally pretty perfect.

The closing scene in Heat

Some people might not like the Oceans films
But David Holmes' curations of (and contributions to) the soundtracks are perfect. Brad Pitt's realisation that he's going to have to go on the run at the start of Oceans 12 fit really well with L'appuntamento (kicks in late in this video):

To me, this track and the whole soundtrack fit the sort of slightly smug and enjoyable atmosphere that the film cultivates throughout.
