Quiet JAG
http://soundcloud.com/body-in-the-thames/panno-impregnato-instrumental
115bpm, kind of Italo House
It's going to get a 12" vinyl release in France in a different version than this (with vocals provided by a Parisian resident Spanish artist lady) but I don't know if it will get a wider release
get your ears on it

how fickle the public is these days
they're gonna
make me beg
You're worse than Mick Squalor
in what way am I worse than Mick Squalor?
With your JAGging
You're the worst people in the world
You should make a record together
yeah but
I would never kick off about not being allowed to take my own tinnies into a venue
also, Bamnan requested a collaboration yesterday - if we threw Mick Squalor into the mix it would be JAGsville, USA
imagine
imagine if we released on Brainlove
Awful
indeed
Delightful once more!
Three of my younger colleagues and another whose age is becoming increasingly harder to ascertain were waxing lyrical about this in the staff room just as I had downed tools and was preparing to leave for the night. Needless to say that I stayed and got a groove on! Excellent production again and I'm hoping for a top four finish!!
:D
Good stuff
Really like this.
cheers
DM me your email if you'd like a promo
LOUD REPLY
you approve?
Always.
Excited to hear it with vocals.
well, it's an understated spoken word thing
rather than singing so...
I like it
found myself nodding my head along without really realising I was doing it, which was good sign.
Not sure about the orgasmic noise every now and again, but as it is *Italo House* it is probably genre specific.
well, the orgasmic noise will make more sense when/if you hear the vocal version
Liked, and shared.
thanks marckee
like it
:)
Like.
:)
and thanks for the tweet too :)
this jagging of yours is getting out of control
(is good)
Out of control?
It's been 3 months since the last one
OUT OF CONTROL!
just like Bobby Gillespie
Very impressive/slick production.
The music's not really to my personal taste (a bit too 'clean' for me), but a very well put together track nonetheless. What I like most is that it's a 'dance' track which grows without sounding like it was made on a Fruity Loops-style grid - do you know what I mean? With a lot of this kind of music I find it too rigid or obvious (and annoying) when new elements/instruments/sounds get added.
As a side point, is the bleepy bit at the beginning sampled from You Got the Love by Candi Staton? Sounds like it is to me, but I could be wrong: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd0zY_DYxjE
Cheers for the praise
no, no samples
it's a standard descending arpeggio, Candi's is a repeated 3 note motif and mine's a four note one
if you want something more scuzzy and freeform you'd probably much prefer the track in the previous JAG link above
So this is going to be out in January with a limited run of 100 numbered vinyl
Why such a short run?
exclusivity
it's going to be in a super-hip Parisian Boutique and as part of/alongside an art/film installation
which is not my idea of course
and presumably it'll be available digitally sometime afterwards
quiet bump
No one else?
Has this run its course already?
Well, here's another remix I did a few weeks ago of Sheffield indie band Screaming Maldini who are on Alcopops
http://soundcloud.com/body-in-the-thames/screaming-maldini-summer
Also 115(.25)bpm, a bit more blissed out though with cowbells & handclaps and melodic female vocals & such
Eddy Temple Morris is going to play this on his XFM remix show tomorrow night apparently
any thoughts/questions/insults/recipes?
hate you all
he played this
and I missed it
typical
and it was the last track of the show and got cut off the listen again player
typical
Really, really like this - good job
(even if I did start singing along to the tune of 'One To Another' by The Charlatans at 1:40 ;))
what?!
Pro'ly just me
...don't worry about it. GREAT TRACK, ENJOYED IT.
thanks :)
but now everytime I listen to it I'm gonna think of Tim Burgess :/
