isn't it, though?
LOOK HERE, JUNIOR
AND FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE
DON'T YOU BE SO SAD
took me about 3 years to listen to it after hearing it geting raved about all over the place
no idea why, thought i wouldn't like it. Boy, was I ever wrong, that thing is gold
Yeah it took me a while to get round to it, I only got it about a year and a half ago when I found the reissue going relatively cheap
I always thought it was some dark gloomy post-punk album and I remember starting to listen to it and being a bit disappointed. For about 30 seconds, before I realised it was indeed amazing.
Still great
Still their best. Hey Marty, say hi to Larry for me.
Little Orphan Funkhouser
As far as I'm concerned, it's the only REALLY good song they've ever written. I kind of get bored by the rest of that album.
wait, what?
I think you're hearing...somethin' else.
Don't be silly
I'm only slightly deaf. I'm certainly not listening to anything else.
que?
I was using the lyrics to communicate my incredulity. the whole album is brilliant.
Even See No Evil?
good innit?
Often-overlooked "Adventure' is also good, I'd say "Days' is my favourite of theirs.
It's perfect
I still listen to it at least once a month after all these years.
DIDDLE-IDDLE-IDDLE-IDDLE-ID

Dum dum, dum
Dum dum, dum

DO-DA-DE-DIDDLE-DEE-DEE
i listened to it last night
incredible stuff
The fadeout and restart in the title track is probably man's greatest achievement.
sounds like razorlight
I did the same with Roxy Music (eponymous first album)
Had it for years before finally getting around to listening properly. Now a firm favourite.
it's definitely one of the best albums of all time
like, no question
I tried several years ago to get into it. I must have heard it about five
or six times in a week. It just didn't click for me.
it needs a few more listens than that
i absolutely love it
without doubt a constant in my favourite records ever. the guitars are sublime throughout and each song brings something new. check out adventure too, it's a little after the lord mayor's show but still has some great tunes. the upbeat ones like foxhole, glory and ain't that nothin are my personal highlights
glory might be my favourite tune of theirs actually
realise that might be sacrilege
The guitars on Venus de Milo
Wow.
I was thinking of forming a Television/Fall/Who tribute band
called Mark E Moon
It took me ages to listen to Marquee Moon
I was already well into music, I think I was put off it by the crappy bands that listed them as an influence. I bought it on a whim on vinyl as part of a 5 for £25 type deal in a second hand shop. Whacked it on, bloody loved it.
If I ever catch that ventriloquist
I'll squeeze his head right into my fist
