WTF
No London?????
Unacceptable
You london lot
gig deprived arent you!!! ;)
Hilarious more like
FFS
just go to Brighton
^ revenge for you guys always saying ffs just go to London
.
Yeah! They've only played in London about 30 times in the last 10 years!!
I'm guessing there might be a London date slotted between Bristol and Paris
If not, just go to Brighton, ffs.
meh
London is the gig going capital of the world. If they want to promote the album properly, they should play London
Looks like a trip to Bristol
Arches isn't even that big is it?
If I ca just convince my mate to go it should be awesome. Not massively loving the new album but as long as they play a decent amount of old stuff I'll be tripping
Arches is pretty mammoth man. All depends which arch(es) you're in mind you. Saw Thurston Moore there at the end of last year in a seated show and it was mad decent.
huh, Google says it's 2000
I always thought it was smaller than the ABC which is where they played last time in Glasgow. Oh well, still reasonable, though I'd rather see them at Barras for that size of venue
I really wanna go to this
but I'm put off by a mate who saw them on the tour with built to spill and said they were rubbish. somebody contradict this for me please.
I saw them in new york last year
they were ok, but then I'm not a huge fan.
Arches is a terrible venue though
I love them
Arches is one of the few venues in Glasgow that I've not been to yet. I might just get tickets. Did the same for AnCo, wasn't too sure how great they would be live and was very pleasantly surprised.
You mean the recent AnCo gig?
It was pretty good wasn't it, their singing sounded EXACTLY like on record and the whole light show thing was pretty good. Just wish there'd been a bit more force to the sound sometimes
yeah
I was a bit worried that it was gonna sound bad, loads of the live videos suggest that it doesn't come across well at all. aye, I know what you mean, could have done with a little bit more oomph. Think I might just buy tickets for Dinosaur Jr and hope for the best.
also, this is just screaming out for a PAWS support slot to me.
Seen them in Edinburgh...
at the Venue. Awesome live.
I saw them in the liquid rooms
without doubt, the loudest gig I've ever been to and by some margin.
was that anytime recently?
I may just have to kill myself if so ...
nah, couple of years ago now
was fucking amazing though
Saw them in Derby
a few years back and it was so loud, ok I was near the front for the first couple of songs but even moving back it remained the loudest band i've ever seen. I couldn't hear in my right ear the next day in work it was that bad
They were blown away by Built To Spill
at the Glasgow ABC show a while back.
Built To Spill were brilliant but Dinsoaur Jr were pretty dull I thought.
Sadly, I agree
Though I suspect if Built to Spill hadn't been so bloody good, Dinosaur Jr might not have seemed as disappointing because I still enjoyed them. I'll be at the Arches in Jan all the same though.
I saw them on that tour in Cambridge.
Built to Spill were fantastic.... but so were Dinosaur.
Great double-header.
Indeed, although Murph wasn't on that tour (or at least he didn't play in Leeds).
Sorry for the JAG
But me and a couple of musical megadudes are tearing through tracks 1-8 of You're Living All Over Me on December 15th in Brixton at this show celebrating the musical achievements of 1987.

Also got chaps and chapettes taking on Pixies, REM, Replacements, Sonic Youth, Guided By Voices, Husker Du, The Smiths and, of course, Michael Jackson.
The Dinosaur Jr bit will be loud and reasonably accurate, promise!
yes

Playing Electric Ballroom London Feb 4th

Phew
Thought thy'd gone crazy and avoided London
It'll make a nice change from Chas n Dave I suppose.
Word on the street is Bristol date may be moved to Academy.
Which is shit obviously.
That really needs...
...to not happen.
