*Michel
Michelle is the female version of the name Michel
Michel = Michael in French
Shut up man, Jean's a girl's name
I don't know what 'French' is but you're getting names well wrong.
Jean = John in French
French =/= English
look I was refering to the tribute act to him OK?
far better than the original
If you can't afford a light show
just stick on a dress. Good shout.
You're kidding, right?
:D
Dude, I hope you can detect sarcasm in the real world!
I detect sarcasm is real world and also online (but not everytime)
English is not my first language. Some misunderstandings should be expected.
oh, fair enough
well, you've got excellent taste in dance music for a barbarian.
(please note, this was 'playful insulting based upon the assumption that I'm too witty to be racist')
Are you French?
because I'm now reading all your posts with a French accent.
I studied a bit of French many years ago. I still know how to pronounce the French words and I quite understand a text written in this language.
I wasn't getting at that
I was just wondering where you were from.
The reason all of the above was sarcasm is everyone in the UK learnt French at school and knows about French names. Well maybe not everyone, but everyone you're likely to meet on here.
bet you're russian
????????
????????
This forum refuses to accept Cyrillic characters...
Does that mean French people wear Bleu Johns?
Do they? No, then stop this madness you speak.
^ce
If you mix English and French words...

hahaha nice try
The Human League - Dare
rock n roll means not caring too much about that sort of thing
although given the phenomena of 'tribute bands' it probably is more significant than I would like
I didn't see your post when I post mine. Look at the time when they were posted.
yes you posted just after me, and corrected my post (like you did with the famously transgender JMJ)
:D
OK It is very feasible that my mention of Heaven 17, prior to that, might have led to you thinking of Human League
Your mention of H17 made me think about THL. If I wanted to correct your missing "The" I would reply to your comment.
Also "...famously transgender JMJ"? WTF you're saying? A little respect for this legend of electronic music. By the way, JMJ had more women than you ever dreamed...
I had a dream where I had all the women JMJ had. And then his mum.
so technically I've dreamt more than he's had.
Technically... But practically? ;)
alright calm down calm down. I obviously respect JMJ a bit or I wouldnt
have nominated Zoolook, I was going to nominate Revolutions too (except I wasnt quite so sure how much actual orchestra is on that(if any))
PS I dont go in for d*** waving, numbers of women 'had' (urgh). I often mention that there were less than 10 in my case.
PPS are you implying that being transgender is something abhorent? a slur? The one thing that I do think about such people as a generalisation, is that they must be quite brave, beyond that I know nothing of their qualities
Could this slight cultural misunderstanding end in war?
I hope not. I didnt realise that my mentioning of JMJ
seemed as if I thought of him negatively. I thought I was acknowledging his significance. (Zoolook at the time was enormously significant (if a little anorachy))
Also I did admit that the mentioning of H17 might spark off someone to think of the human league, I was only having a bit of fun. I also put in a :D sign to indicate that I was being funny, not serious.
Do you think Im being trolled here?
I don't think so
although now I think of it, pretending to be foreign would be really fun.
I always presumed he was British by the fact he likes all the same British 90s dance music as me.
I said 'transgendered' as a joke, because you had pointed out to me that
I had spelt his name as michelle. and then St Badvibes joined in the fun with pointing out that Jean is a womans name as well.
So I was just kind of referencing that.
OK. As I said before, I don't get some play of words. Sorry for misunderstandings.
s okay
just dont report me to evil JM (JoeyMahone)
:)
Those "fights" with other annoying users on DiS made me a bit too cautious...
well I honestly dont mean any offence and you seem to hav good taste/knowledge of
electronic music (which I love)
So as long as you are not a tory then we're fine (actually even if you are one, thats probably ok because the sort that are on Dis actually seem OK, apart from CG, but thats because he is a double agent, posing as a tory, so as to bring them into further disrepute intellectually)
and particularly with me, dont worry about not being able to make sense
from what I sometimes post. I think that a lot of Disers also cannot make sense of what I post.
I have yet to prove to them that the fault lies with them and not me though.
I'm not a Tory, that's for sure.
<3
Incidently. Ive actually been a tester on a system with technology that deep-blue
was made from. (a later advanced form of RS6000's).
Great
This username is from a song "Deep Blue" that also references the supercomputer Deep Blue that defeated the chess master Garry Kasparov in 1997.

FSOL - Accellerator
FSOL - Dead Cities
LFO - Frequencies
Fever Ray - Fever Ray
The Orb - U.F.Orb
The Orb - Orblivion
Primal Scream - Exterminator
XTRMNTR could be tagged also as a rock album
Primal Scream - Echo Dek
Big Beat Manifesto- Big Beats are the Best Get High all the Time
haha
Primal Scream - Vanishing Point
their most electronic album
Except for Evil Heat
;-)
Evil Heat is quite rock-y, almost in the same XTRMNTR way. At least half of it.
Anyway Evil Heat include Primal Scream's best electronic song, "Autobahn 66".
VP is less electronic
than XTRMNTR and Evil Heat in my opinion. Still a classic album but more intrument based rather than production based. Echo Dek exists as VP's electronic and dubby sister album.
What about songs like...
Get Duffy
Trainspotting
Out of the Void
Stuka
Star
If They Move, Kill 'em
Long Life
?
They definitely have an electronic vibe. Even Kowlaski sounds like a rockier The Chemical Brothers.
PS: I know about Echo Dek. It's not quite a PS album since it contain songs from VP remixed by Adrian Sherwood.

Why are there so many posts in this thread
everybody knows that there are only 3 good electronic albums. 4 at a push.
Because there are many great electronic albums
Electronic music = a music genre with a history of decades
>>"everybody knows that there are only 3 good electronic albums. 4 at a push."
False. You definitely didn't listen to enough electronic music...
http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/music/4397976#r6938044
:D
At that moment you didn't post any album on this topic. How could I detect if you're serious or not?
I thought you dismissed the whole genre like a lot of traditional music fans (rock, jazz, classical, pop, folk etc) do.

not really a straight comparison is it, sonny?
electronic is too vague for me to pick any single one
Well, if most sounds from a particular record are made from synths or other electronic devices, then that record could be considered electronic music.
Even rock albums could contain few electronic songs (e.g. "On the Run" from Dark Side of the Moon).
A lot of hip-hop records also match that description
Scuba-Triangulation
