My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts

cliquester [Edit] [Delete] 11 replies 12:24, 1 December '11

A 'demo' for Remain In Light, or a genuinely brilliant album in it's own right?

I'm playing it right now because it's just about the least Christmass-y music i can imagine.

  • In my humble opinion

it's BETTER than Remain In Light (which I like a very lot in its own right)

  • A lot of it sounds more than a little Moby-esque today, e.g. Regiment

which of course isn't Byrne/Eno's fault, and the album is an amazing achievement for 1981.

I like the bits where the voice samples are processed beyond recognition. The tracks where they're used more "dramatically" - e.g. The Jezebel Spirit - just sound cheesy to me.
